My wife surprised me with a Maven watch in sandstone for Christmas. I am a watch guy with a modest collection of about 15 that see frequent wrist time, which includes some of the big names (omega, ulysses nardin), but also a few of the up and coming boutique brands (vario, deep blue) and staples (hamilton, bulova) so I have hands on experience with a variety of timepieces. Maven is doing it right and there is a lot of bang for the buck. Swiss quartz and sapphire crystal will always produce good results, but the extra thought and attention to the sizing, case, and feel are great. What really makes this watch for me though is the clean, minimalist, easy to read face and the strap that is so comfortable you'll forget you're wearing it. If you are considering a Maven, go ahead and pull the trigger you won't regret it.
